Thiruvannamalai: Thiruvannamalai District Superintendent of Police Dr. K. Karthikeyan, IPS, in a search operation conducted under the supervision of Tiruvannamalai Arani Utkota Deputy Superintendent of Police Mr. V. A. Ravichandran and under the leadership of Kalamapur Police Assistant Inspector Mr. Vinayagam. Ananda Babu W/26 T/P Krishnamurthy of Thiruvalluvar Street, Kalambur Town, Polur Circle, was arrested for the crime of possessing banned narcotics like Hans and Gutka for sale at his house and appropriate action was taken. Also, the police department is actively searching for the absconding convict Suresh Babu (29), Krishnamurthy.
Also, drug paraphernalia worth Rs.81, 000/- and weighing 137 Kilograms like Hans and Gutka were seized from him.
