Tiruvannamalai: According to the confidential information received by Tiruvannamalai District Superintendent of Police Dr. K. Karthikeyan, IPS, the police conducted a joint operation under the supervision of Mrs. K. M. Ashwini,IPS Deputy Superintendent of Police, Tiruvannamalai Rural Utkota, under the leadership of Verayur Police Inspector Mr. S. Selvanayagam.
During the search, about 800 liters of liquor, banned by the government, was found in Perumanam village and destroyed. Police are actively searching for the absconding criminals.
