Madurai: In order to prevent the sale of tobacco products banned by the government in Madurai district, Usilambatti Town Police Station Sub-Inspector Mr. Arunkumar, and the police were on active patrolling in Usilampatti Madurai Road area when the Rai police arrested a person who was selling tobacco products banned by the government.
Accordingly, the police seized 26 kg and 10 g of prohibited tobacco products for sale from the arrested person and registered a case against the said person and took further action. Also, Madurai District Superintendent of Police said that strict action will be taken against those who hoard and sell such banned tobacco products.
