Chennai: Siva (30) hails from Usilampatti, Madurai District. In the year 2019, after learning about the information that he was smuggling ganja from Madurai to Chennai, the Chennai Anti-Narcotics Intelligence Unit arrested him in the year 2019. Police also seized 21 kg of ganja from him. The trial against him was held in the presence of Judge C. Thirumal at the Special Anti-Drug Trafficking Court in Chennai. Special public prosecutor KJ Saravanan appeared for the police and argued. The judge who heard the case said that the charge against Siva was proved and sentenced him to 11 years in prison and ordered a fine of Rs.1 lakh.
