Tiruvannamalai: For the first time in Tiruvannamalai District, the Tamil Nadu Police Training College allowed a temporary police training school to operate from last 14.03.2022, for the first 7 months, 95 training Police Constables from Vellore district were given basic training for second level Police Constable. These include 18 engineers, 40 graduates, 11 polytechnic graduates, 12 ex-servicemen and 09 sportspersons. On the evening of 19.10.2022, Police Training Completion Parade Ceremony was held at Armed Forces Ground.
Police Chief, Criminal Investigation Department Mr. K. Joshi Nirmal Kumar, IPS took the lead. Thiruvannamalai District Collector Mr. B. Murugesh, IAS and Tamilnadu State Athletics Association Vice President and Thiruvannamalai District Athletics Association President Dr. A. V. V. Kamban graced the occasion as special guests. Tiruvannamalai District Superintendent of Police and Principal of the Training School Dr. K. Karthikeyan, IPS welcomed them all and gave a special speech.
95 trainee Police Constables from Vellore district who have passed constable examination in the said training undergone by them.
To improve physical fitness – exercise, parade training, mountain climbing training, marksmanship training, riot control training and crowd handling training,
To improve mental strength – yoga, endurance training, psychological training Trainings,
To learn legal nuances – law classes, trainings on crimes against women and children,
To improve skills – recreational driving training, swimming training, computer training, bomb detection and disposal, prison procedures, checkpoint work and traffic control etc. Trainings were delivered in a systematic manner. Tiruvannamalai Temporary Police Training School won the second place among the 35 Basic Police Training Schools for Tamil Nadu Special Police Constables being conducted across Tamil Nadu and received the medal from the Chief Guest.
Also in this closing ceremony, the training police performed different types of parade exercises and then the deputy principal of the training school and Additional Superintendent of Police of Tiruvannamalai district headquarters Mr. Stephen gave the vote of thanks.
