Rachakonda: CP Mr. Mahesh Bhagwat IPS has inaugurated Police martyrs memorial and paid rich floral tributes to the Police Martyrs during the Police Flag Day celebrations which held at CAR Headquarters, Amberpet on 21st October.
Speaking on the occasion, CP Mr. Mahesh M Bhagwat IPS stated that, thousands of Police have lost their lives in line of duty across the country and reminded everyone that the Police Commemoration Day has been observed across the country in memory of Ten CRPF Soldiers, who sacrificed their lives in an Ambush attack by Chinese troops on 21st October, 1959 at Hot Springs in Ladakh. CP reminded everyone that the Police Commemoration day is being observed as Police Flag Day from the year 2020.
CP uttered that, thousands of Police men dedicated their lives to keep the country peaceful and iterated that 264 Police personnel have sacrificed their lives on duty in the present year till August 31st in the country and reminded that 16 Police men from Rachakonda Commissionerate have lost their lives on duty.
CP has mentioned that numerous safety measures have been taken up for the welfare of Rachakonda Police that includes special medical camps, free COVID vaccination to Police personnel and to their family members, family health checkup camps etc. and reminded everyone that the blood donation camps conducted by Rachakonda Police Commissionerate have achieved the Highest Blood Donations Award-2022 from the Hon’ble Governor of Telangana on world blood donors day.
CP mentioned that Rachakonda Police Commissionerate have taken up several initiatives to help the citizens during the pandemic like dedicated COVID control room, free ambulances, free isolation center, medical oxygen, free food to the needy etc. and expressed his happiness over the percentage of perception towards police which has been increased from 37 to 72 percent with the tireless humanity services rendered during the 1st and 2nd phases of pandemic.
CP has thanked the state government for supporting the Police department and cited the special allowances being offered to the police working in special wings like traffic, intelligence, training, octopus etc.
He further stated that various activities including Blood donation camps, Essay writing competition, online Open house, Photography and Short film competition etc. would be organized during the observance of Police Flag Day from 21st to 31st October 2021 across the Rachakonda Commissionerate. CP welcomed the students and other civilians to actively participate in the events.
CP extended his regards to the families of deceased Police personnel attended at the Parade and felicitated them. He enquired about their welfare and assured that the grievances raised will be redressed at the earliest. CP requested the public to recognize the supreme sacrifices of Police and sought the cooperation of the citizens to keep the society crime-free.
DCP LB Nagar Mr. Sunpreet Singh IPS, DCP Malkajigiri Miss. Rakshita Murthy IPS, DCP SHE Teams ,Mrs. Saleema IPS, Addl DCP Admin Mrs. Narmada, Addl DCP Shameer, Addl DCP Mr. Laxminarayana CAR Amberpet, all Zone ACP and other senior officers of the Commissionerate paid floral tributes to the Martyrs.
