Hyderabad City: The Sleuths of Asif Nagar Police Station, Hyderabad City apprehended two persons namely Attaualla Khan alias Ataa alias Danish and Surendra KumaSoutr alias Mantu Singh, who committed 10 attention diverting offences in the limits of Asifnagar Police Station, Humayunnagar Police Station, Sultan Bazar Police Station, Saifabad Police Station and Mirchowk Police Station of Hyderabad and other cities respectively, and recovered net cash of Rs.2,50,000/-, 115 ATM cards of different banks and Swiping Machine from their possession.
The accused persons were identified as
Attaualla Khan alias Ataa alias Danish(28) S/o Mahmud Alam, doing Business, R/o Dumri village,. Tarawan, Gaya District, Bihar.
Surendra Kumar alias Mantu Singh(33) S/o Birendra Singh, working as a Labour, R/o Dhaneta, Ekamba, Fatehpur, Gaya, Bihar.

The police recovered the following Property: Total Net cash of Rs. 2,50,000/-,115 ATM Cards of various bank, Swiping Machine, 3 Small Fevicol glue bottles, 2 Cell Phones
Modus Operandi:
Accused Attaualla Khan alias Ataa alias Danish and Surendra Kumar alias Mantu Singh, hails from Gaya District of Bihar State and has taken shelter at Rahul international Hotel, Secunderabad. They are notorious “ATM Card Attention Diverting Offenders”.
Initially, they collected many ATM cards of various banks which were left at ATM centres. Then, they roam and observed the ATM centres, and selects one ATM centre, one of them will enter into selected ATM centre and tamper the ATM Machine by inserting the ATM card glue applied on the chip into machine due to which ATM Machine will not work for next few transactions and they will wait for the old aged & illiterate persons who are not able to operate ATM machine. Then accused approach victim act as a helping them for withdrawal of money. But, after knowing their ATM PIN, they divert the victim and exchange the original ATM card with similar Bank ATM Card and sped away from there. Then they withdraw the available money from another ATM centres and also swipe stolen card in swiping machine which was available with them. Thus they can gain more amounts from the victim debit card.

The accused Attaualla Khan alias Ataa alias Danish has a criminal history and he was involved in the Cr.No 137/2013 U/s 380, 320 IPC of Police Station Piplani, Bhopal of Madhya Pradesh.
The case is detected by verifying CCTV footages. The staff of Asifnagar Police Station, Hyderabad City has apprehended the accused on 27-10-2022 under the limits of Asifnagar Police Station and recovered net cash of Rs. 2,50,000/- (115) ATM cards of different banks and one Bharat Pe Swiping Machine from their possession.
