Bengaluru: Home Minister Araga Gyanendra has said that a decision has been taken to deploy one SDRF force in every 3 districts of the state to protect people during natural calamities.
Speaking at the President’s Medal presentation ceremony organized by the Directorate of State Civil Defence, Fire and Emergency Services and SDRF at the Rajya Bhavan, he said that plans are being made to facilitate quick service during natural calamities. It has been decided to strengthen the force of state disaster and emergency services. Accordingly, one SDRF force will be deployed in every three districts, he said.
He said that the government is committed to the safety of citizens and protection of property and assets, and in this regard, emergency and fire fighting forces are being strengthened and 1547 vacant posts in the fire brigade are being filled. 30 crores recently to facilitate access to the tallest building in case of accidents. He said that the area ladder has been dedicated to the fire service in the cost.
On the occasion, Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot presented medals to 61 personnel who had protected the citizens. Rajnish Goyal, Additional Chief Secretary to the Government, State Director General of Police Amar Pandey and many others were present in this programme.
