Visakhapatnam : AP DGP held review meeting with police officers Mr. K.V Rajendranath Reddy IPS, held a review meeting with Visakhapatnam Police officers. The DGP congratulated the Police staff on bando bust duties during Hon’ble PM’s two day visit to Visakhapatnam. Reviewed crime rate in the Commissionerate & cases settled by Lok Adalat. He appreciated Disha Police Station Inspectors for bringing conviction in 10- POCSO cases.
He reviewed the steps taken to control Ganja Cultivation & smuggling. The DGP said the combing operations to control Maoist activities is a continuous process and will continue. A special SOP is designed, awareness & training programmes are conducted in tackling Cyber crime across the State to the police personnel.The DGP said the recruitment of 6500 police personnel will commence shortly as approved by the State Government.
