NEW DELHI: The Border Security Force (BSF) which is a Border Guarding Force of India has told the Delhi High Court that it was serving quality food and the allegation that it was serving poor quality food by one of its jawans was not correct as the jawan had never complained about it. An affidavit filed by the Deputy Inspector General (Personnel), Border Security Force (BSF), has said that the jawan never approached the grievance redressal system for the redressal of their grievance about poor quality food being served. Senior officials visited the concerned battalion after the video went viral on social media about serving of poor quality food but no complaint regarding poor food was brought to their notice after, the affidavit said. The BSF applies “very transparent system” to ensure quality diet for the troopers since their health and safety was a “prime responsibility” and brushed aside allegations levelled by Yadav in his video. The BSF filed its affidavit through advocate Mr. Gaurang Kanth. “A detailed Staff Court of Inquiry (SCOI) has also been ordered to enquire into the allegations made by the jawan through video and same has been concluded and further action will be taken in accordance with the law”, the affidavit said. “A detailed Staff Court of Inquiry (SCOI) was ordered to enquire into the allegations made by the jawan through video and the enquiry was concluded and further action will be taken in accordance with the law”, the affidavit said.]]>
