Rachakonda : on 20-1-2023 CP, Rachakonda Mr. D.S Chauhan, IPS has conducted a review meeting on Rape & Sec 4 & 6 of POCSO Act cases for ensuring speedy disposal of cases of sexual offences under section 376, 376-A, 376-AB, 376B, 376-C, 376-D, 376-DA, 376-DB, or 376 E of IPC and POCSO Act (Sec.4 & 6) by the investigation officers within a period of 60 days from the date of registration of the FIR. In Rachakonda Commissionerate a team was setup to monitor the progress of the cases and co-ordinate with all stake-holders in case of any inter- departmental issues causing delay in completion of investigation within the stipulated period of 60 days. With study increase in conviction rate, Rachakonda secured 12 convictions in 2019, 13 convictions in 2020, 15 convictions in 2021 and 17 convictions in the year 2022.
After conducting frequent review meetings in Rachakonda with IOs and day to day monitoring with all stake-holders as on 20-1-2023 the total UI cases of Rape & Sec 4 & 6 of POCSO Act cases were decreased from 253 to 63 up to 20.1.2023 there by achieved 100% result in disposing of cases and received appreciation by State Women Safety wing. CP, Rachakonda appreciated all 10s for achieving 100% result in disposing of Rape & POCSO Act cases and instructed to finalize pending cases and file Charge sheets in stipulated period. In this meeting DCP, Women safety wing Mr. M. Venkateshwarlu, Mr. M. Jagadeesh Chander, ACP CCRB, Mr. K. Murali Mohan, Inspector CCRB and all the Investigation officers have attended this review meeting.
