The A&N Police force under the proactive support and positive encouragement of the Hon’ble Lt. Governor (A&N), the Chief Secretary (A&N), and the visionary leadership of the Director General of A&N Police Mr. Neeraj Thakur, IPS, and overall supervision of Mr. R.Kalaivanan, IPS Superintendent of Police South Andaman district, and the meticulous hard work of Inspector Hari Narayan and Sub- Inspector Rahil Islam, and other staff and officials of Police station Pahargaon, South Andaman District had led to the selection of Police Station Pahargaon, South Andaman as the 5th Best Police Station in the country by Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India which amply the professionalism and sheer dedication, Compassion and sincerity towards the crime prevention and control followed by serving the community. The selection was done on 19 parameters set by the ministry of Home Affairs. The award is a matter of great pride for the Andaman & Nicobar Police force for fifth constitutive time in a row.
