Along with the Commissioner of Police Mr. DS Chauhan IPS DCP Mr. Madhukar Swamy held a special meeting at the Commissioner’s office in Nared Met. Speaking on this occasion, the Commissioner ordered the officials to stop the thefts in the houses and take measures to make the people brave. He said that the gangs of thieves who steal gold and large amount of money will be chased and caught. Authorities have been advised to use CCTV cameras in arresting criminals and investigating crime. The officials were directed to keep a vigil on the gang members in Rachakonda who have committed crimes in the past and to take appropriate measures to prevent them from committing crimes again. PD Acts have been ordered to be imposed on those who commit consecutive crimes. He said that people should be made aware to ensure that the Almara/Bureau lock are not accessible while going out.
On this occasion, it was reminded that due to the measures being taken by Rachakonda Police, the incidents of thefts in the jurisdiction of the Commissionerate have reduced considerably. It is suggested to work in coordination with other departments like civil and traffic and technical departments in criminal investigation. The officers who worked well were felicitated and honoured. People are advised to be careful and keep their gold in bank lockers as there is a high probability of thefts mainly in houses at night. As far as possible, I also suggested that community CCTVs should be installed in their house premises. In this meeting, CCS Additional DCP Ms. Lakshmi, ACPs and other officials participated.
