CHENNAI: In Kanchipuram two men on a motorcycle snatched a cash bag from a businessman when he was returning home with his daily collection on Thursday, Uthiramerur Police said. According to Police, Velayutham, 54, a resident of Vazhai Thotta Stre dent of Vazhai Thotta Street, in Uthiramerur, was walking home from his fertiliser shop on Sannathi Street when suddenly men on a motorcycle accosted him on Senguntha Pillayar Street. The motorcycle bound men pushed Velayutham down; taking advantage of this the pillion rider snatched the cash bag that Velayutham. The bag consisted of `3.5 lakh which the men took and sped away on the motorcycle, Police said. He did not have time raise an alarm, Velayutham said. The Uthiramerur Police have registered a case based on Velayutham’s complaint and are investigating the matter.]]>
