Hyderabad City: Acknowledging the importance of opinions of the various stakeholders, the City Police Commissioner Mr. C.V. Anand, IPS conducted the inter-department coordination meeting in the lead-up- to the Hanuman Jayanthi procession to be held on April 6th.
Senior officers from EMRI, GHMC, Cantonment, R&B, Fire Department, and TSRTC, liaising officers from Rachakonda and Cyberabad police Commissionerates, and the representatives of Bajrangdal, VHP attended the meeting to discuss coordination and security arrangements for the upcoming procession.
During the meeting, the City Police Chief urged organizers to identify troublemakers at the origin points, keep a count of total participants, and inform the police. In light of recent events, he emphasized the need for youngsters and participants to exercise self-restraint during the procession and while returning. He stressed following the designated procession routes, diversions, and timings to avoid inconvenience to the general public, as it is a working day. “Given the dynamic nature of the processions and with multiple tributary processions entering city limits from neighboring commissionerates, we must coordinate and act responsibly,” he said.

The Additional Commissioner of Traffic requested GHMC officials to clear the carriage way at the ongoing flyover project site at RTC X road. Senior officials from various departments confirmed that necessary preparations, such as tree pruning, debris clearing, barricading, illumination, and fixing low-hanging wires, were underway to ensure a smooth procession.
Mr. C.V Anand, along with the organizers and officials from other departments, later inspected the 12 km procession route, which covers Rammandir (Gowliguda), Puthlibowli, YMCA, RTC X road, Bible House, and Hanuman Temple, Tadbund. During the joint route inspection, he gave key instructions to organizers and police officials to avoid stoppages on the day of the procession.
