Visakhapatnam: An individual was apprehended by the law enforcement authorities in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, for reportedly impregnating his daughter. The accused, Mutyala Naidu, a resident of Gangavaram village, has been charged under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012, after the victim’s cousin filed a complaint at the new Port police station.
The incident was brought to the attention of law enforcement officials when the victim’s brother contacted them, resulting in the immediate detainment of the suspect by the police team, as reported by Inspector Ramu. The teenage girl, who is four months pregnant, recently underwent an abortion that was performed by her father, according to law enforcement authorities. The accused is now in police custody, and a POCSO Act investigation is ongoing.
