Kakinada: The “Spandana” program, which is conducted every Monday at the Kakinada District Police Office, is a public problems resolution platform initiated by the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Sri Y. Jaganmohan Reddy. The program serves as a platform for the public to raise their grievances and concerns, which are then addressed by the District SP Sri S. Satish Kumar, IPS garu, and other officials in the presence of complainants.
As the program involves a large number of complainants, including elderly, women, children, and sick people, they have to wait for some time during the hearing. To ensure that they are not inconvenienced and are provided with basic amenities during their wait, the District SP garu and Sri Dasari Pattabhi Ramaswamy (D. P. R Swami), a Chartered Accountant, requested the Akshaya Patra Foundation to prepare and arrange meals for almost 100 people every Monday.
The Akshaya Patra Foundation, with the financial support of Ramaraopeta, immediately accepted the request and prepared meals for the complainants attending the Spandana Program. They also ensured that the meals were served under the supervision of the District SP garu and were provided free of cost to the complainants who come to the Spandana Program at the District Office.
Today’s program was attended by District SP garu, Additional SP (Admin) Sri P. Srinivas, Additional SP (Reserve) Sri B. Satyanarayana, Reserve Inspector Sri Hari, and other staff. The officials heard the grievances and concerns of the complainants and addressed them promptly. The meals provided by the Akshaya Patra Foundation were also well-received by the complainants, who appreciated the gesture and thanked the officials and the foundation for their efforts.
