Nalgonda: The Nalgonda district police have successfully apprehended nine individuals who were reportedly involved in cricket betting, following a thorough investigation led by District SP Ms. K. Apoorva Rao IPS. The accused were found to be in possession of a significant amount of cash amounting to Rs.1 crore 12 lakh, along with two cars valued at Rs.30 lakhs, 14 cell phones valued at Rs.3 lakhs, and other assets worth 1 crore 45 lakh rupees.
The police have taken a strong stance against illegal activities such as betting and gambling, and have warned that strict action will be taken against those involved. The case was investigated by DSP Mr. Venkatagiri and handled by a team of officers including Miryalaguda 1 Town CI Mr. Raghavender, Mr. YS Shiva Teja, Mr. YS Kattangur Vijay Kumar, Miryalaguda 2 Town Mr. YS Venkateshwarlu, Head Constable Mr. Gafar, and Constables Mr. Kommu Ravi Halia P.S, Mr. Rahiman, Mr. G. Hussain, Mr. B. Veerababu, Mr. S. Venkateshwarlu, and Mr. M. Saidulu.
These officers were commended by the district SP for their excellent work in bringing the accused to justice.
