CHENNAI: Officials from the Economic Offences Wing officials from Delhi arrested actor powerstar Srinivasan at his residence in Anna Nagar with warrant from a magistrate court in Delhi after the actor failed to respond to summons issued by them. Srinivasan was produced at the Egmore court and EOW officials later took him to Delhi. Based on a complaint from a Delhi-based businessman Deepak, the owner of Blue Coast Infrastructure Development Pvt. Ltd alleging that Srinivasan had approached them and offered to get them a loan of Rs 1,000 crores. EOW officials said the actor had demanded a commission of Rs 10 crore for arranging the loan and the company had paid him the amount. But the actor failed to keep his promise and refused to return the amount and the company filed a cheating complaint against him. Police said, Srinivasan was then imprisoned for three months but later came out on bail.]]>
