Begusarai: The Bihar Prohibition Unit has recently carried out a major operation in the Bachwada police station area of Begusarai district, resulting in the arrest of two liquor smugglers and the confiscation of a large quantity of foreign liquor.
During the operation, which involved rigorous raids and investigations, the Prohibition Unit discovered that the smugglers were transporting a significant amount of foreign liquor on a magic pickup. The total volume of the liquor seized was a staggering 2698.92 liters, indicating the scale of the illegal operation.
The seizure of such a large quantity of foreign liquor represents a major success for the Bihar Prohibition Unit in its ongoing efforts to combat the illegal trade of alcohol in the state. The unit has been actively cracking down on liquor smuggling and consumption, which is banned in Bihar since 2016.
The two smugglers arrested in the operation are now in police custody and are likely to face serious charges for their involvement in the illegal trade of alcohol. This operation serves as a strong warning to other potential smugglers and illicit traders that the Prohibition Unit is taking strict measures to enforce the law and prevent the flow of illegal liquor in the state.
