Secunderabad: On 4th June 2023 at 04:15 hours a complaint was received by the police from Mr. Megharaj Kaley, a 40-year-old balloon seller living with his wife and seven children on the footpath near Dadus Sweet House, Paradise Signal, Secunderabad. Originally, he hails from Gulbarga, Karnataka. Mr. Kaley has been selling balloons in Hyderabad for the last thirty years at main junctions for his livelihood. On the night of 3rd June 2023, Mr. Kaley and his family went to sleep as usual on the footpath. At approximately 03:30 hours on the 4th of June, an unidentified person woke them up and informed Mr. Kaley about an incident. A lady in a burka arrived in an auto-rickshaw with a man sporting a full-length beard. The lady took their youngest child, Karishma 3.5 years old, and fled away in the auto-rickshaw. Despite searching and riding on the unknown person’s bike in the direction the auto-rickshaw went (towards Tank Bund from Paradise Signal), they couldn’t find the abductors or their daughter. Mr. Kaley immediately reported the incident at Mahankali Police Station.
The relentless efforts of the Mahankali Police teams bore fruit as they made a significant breakthrough in the case. Through meticulous investigation, the teams obtained crucial CCTV footage that captured the movements of the auto-rickshaw used by the accused to flee the scene. Analyzing the footage meticulously, the police teams were able to track down and apprehend the accused individuals near Sunshine Hospital, situated beside Paradise Hostel in Secunderabad within 2 hours.
