Bilaspur: The Bilaspur police recently took significant action by apprehending seven individuals who were accused of committing rape under the pretext of marriage. These arrests were made during the proceedings at seven different police stations in the region.
At the Civil Line Police Station, two of the accused were taken into custody, while at Torwa Police Station, one individual was arrested in connection with such a case. Similarly, at Sarkanda Police Station, two suspects were apprehended for their alleged involvement in rape cases related to false promises of marriage.
Furthermore, the diligent efforts of the Bilaspur police led to the arrest of one accused at Bilha Police Station and another at Sipat Police Station. These arrests were made in connection with separate incidents of sexual assault where the accused had deceived the victims by claiming to marry them.
