Rachakonda: On 14th March 2023, the Commissioner of Police (CP) Rachakonda, along with Traffic and Road Safety wing officers, conducted a review meeting on Traffic and Road Safety. During the meeting, it was decided to enhance the infrastructure by procuring various traffic safety equipment such as Barricades, Cones, Bollards, advanced Communication Equipment, and Kit Articles including Kitbags, Safety Helmets, Sun Glasses, Rain Coats, Jungle Shoes, Water Bottles, Glucose Powder, Reflective Jackets, and LED Batons.
In line with the development of infrastructure and the welfare of traffic staff, the CP Rachakonda purchased Digital Cameras, Traffic Safety equipment like Barricades, Cones, Bollards, Advanced Communication Equipment, and Kit Articles such as Kitbags, Safety Helmets, AC Helmets, Sun Glasses, Rain Coats, Jungle Shoes, Water Bottles, Reflective Jackets, LED Batons, and 56 Laptops, totaling approximately Rs. 2 Crores. On 4th July 2023, Mr. D.S. Chauhan, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda, distributed the aforementioned items.
With respect to traffic enforcement between January 2023 and June 2023, as per the directives of the Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda, a special drive against Number Plate violations was initiated to prevent chain snatchings and other property offenses. A total of 69,420 cases were booked, including 199 FIR cases, 407 charge sheets against repeat offenders, and 13 persons imprisoned. Additionally, 55 individuals were assigned social service, and a total fine amount of Rs. 1,56,82,800/- was imposed.
During this period, a total of 9,991 DD Cases were registered, leading to the imprisonment of 139 individuals. Moreover, 242 individuals were assigned social service, and a total fine amount of Rs. 2,43,10,071/- was imposed.
In compliance with the instructions of the respected DGP, Telangana State, Hyderabad, and in line with the CP Rachakonda’s directions, an “Accident FIRST RESPONDER TRAINING COURSE” was conducted in collaboration with Kamineni Hospitals, Ozone Hospital, and Yashoda Hospitals Sanjeevani Trust. Fifty-four training sessions were organized for executives and civilians working at roadside establishments such as petrol bunks, dhabas, tire puncture shops, kirana and pan shops from roadside villages, with a total of 568 individuals trained. These training sessions will continue in the future.
The following traffic officers, including CP Rachakonda Mr. D.S. Chauhan, IPS, Mr. V. Satynarayana, IPS, Jt. Commissioner of Police, Mr. Abhishek Mohanthy IPS, DCP Traffic-1, Mr. D. Srinivas, DCP, Traffic-II, Mr. G. Srinivas Kumar, Addl.DCP Traffic, Mr. S.V. Hari Krishna, ACP, LB Nagar Traffic Division, Mr. S. Srinivas Rao, ACP, Malkajgiri Traffic Division, and all Traffic Officers, participated in the event.
