Rachakonda: In a proactive operation against drug peddlers, the Special Operations Team (SOT) of LB Nagar Zone, in collaboration with the Choutuppal police, has successfully busted a Ganja racket. Six interstate peddlers were apprehended, and a significant amount of contraband substance weighing 200 kilograms, along with other incriminating materials, was seized from their possession. A case has been registered under the NDPS Act at Choutuppal Police Station, Rachakonda Police Commissionerate.
The individuals involved are:
Vivek Mohan Rao Havle: Age 36, Occupation: Driver, Address: Jaihind Residency, Chikhali, Haveli, Pune district, Maharashtra State. (Transporter)
Ganesh Marutirao Dhumal: Age 32, Occupation: Business, Address: Narkhedkar Niwas, Near Deshmukhi Hospital, Ekta Ganapati Chowk, Barshi, Solapur, Maharashtra State. (Transporter)
Sachin Suresh Gade: Age 32, Occupation: Driver, Address: Gurudev Shalechya Pathimage, Samarth Nagar, Bhum (V), Osmanabad district, Maharashtra State. (Ertiga Driver)
Santosh Baharh Buradi: Age 32, Occupation: Oil Agency Business, Address: Laxmi Nagar, Bhoom Post and Taluq, Osmanabad, Maharashtra State. (Transporter)
Samrat Surendra Mane: Age 40, Address: Bhoom Taluka, Maharashtra State. (Transporter)

The SOT LB Nagar Zone team, in collaboration with the Choutuppal police, successfully apprehended an interstate Ganja transportation syndicate as part of their proactive measures against drug peddlers.
The accused individuals are known to each other and are involved in social vices. They enticed Vivek Mohan Rao Havle, Ganesh Marutirao Dhumal, Sachin Suresh Gade, Santosh Baharh Buradi, Samrat Surendra Mane, and Bill Ashok into transporting Ganja by promising them high profits and easy money through illegal business activities.
Consequently, Vivek Mohan Rao Havle, Ganesh Marutirao Dhumal, Sachin Suresh Gade, Santosh Baharh Buradi, Samrat Surendra Mane, and Bill Ashok traveled to Sileru in their Maruti Ertiga and Maruti Swift vehicles, purchased 200 kilograms of Ganja from Keshav in Sileru at a rate of Rs. 3,000/- per kilogram, concealed it in their vehicles, and embarked on their journey from Sileru to Maharashtra via Hyderabad to supply the contraband to Datta in Bhoom, Maharashtra, at a rate of Rs. 20,000/- per kilogram.
In the early hours of July 4, 2023, while Vivek Mohan Rao Havle, Ganesh Marutirao Dhumal, Sachin Suresh Gade, Santosh Baharh Buradi, Samrat Surendra Mane, and Bill Ashok were en route to Maharashtra in their cars, the SOT LB Nagar Zone team and Choutuppal Police, acting on reliable information, apprehended the suspects at Panthangi Toll Plaza, under the jurisdiction of Choutuppal Police Station. They seized 200 kilograms of contraband dry Ganja, 2 cars, 2 duplicate number plates, and 6 mobile phones from their possession. The arrested individuals were presented before the court for judicial remand.
These arrests were carried out under the direct supervision of Mr. D S Chauhan, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda.
