Alluri Sithraramaraju: Madakam Deva, also known as Bhagat, a 42-year-old resident of Dabbakunta Village under Chintaguppa Police Station, had been serving as the 2nd Platoon Commander of the 2nd Company within the CPI (Maoist) People’s Liberation Guerrilla Army (PLGA) Battalion operating in Sukma District. However, after growing disillusioned with the ideologies of the Maoist party, he made the momentous decision to renounce his affiliations and embrace a mainstream life.
In a significant turn of events, Madakam Deva @ Bhagat surrendered himself before Mr. Tuhin Sinha, an esteemed Indian Police Service (IPS) officer and the Superintendent of Police for the Alluri Seetharamaraju District. The surrender ceremony took place at the District Police Office, where a notable presence of law enforcement officials and dignitaries marked the occasion.
Among those present at the program were Shri P. Anil Kumar, the Additional Superintendent of Police responsible for Administration, and Shri K.V. Maheshwara Reddy, IPS, the Additional Superintendent of Police overseeing Operations.
