Srikakulam: District SP Ms. G.R. Radhika IPS conducted a comprehensive review of serious cases, including property, POCSO, SC/ST, and NDPS cases, along with the officers responsible for each subdivision and circle. The SP instructed the officials to diligently progress and resolve these cases through thorough investigations. To prevent crime, special teams should be formed at the subdivision level, particularly focusing on ganja-related cases where the identification and production of the accused in court are vital.
Moreover, in SC/ST atrocity cases, strict actions should be taken against the accused based on substantial evidence. The SP emphasized conducting meticulous investigations from case registration to arrest, filing of charge sheets, and implementing stringent measures to curb the illegal transportation and sale of ganja. To enhance security and crime prevention, the installation of CC cameras at major intersections is recommended.
