Madurai: Pashumalai Higher Secondary School and Road Safety Forum jointly conducted road safety awareness and drug free Tamil Nadu in Urdu language near Madurai. The event was welcomed and presided over by the school headmistress Mary. Pushpam, who became the Assistant Headmistress. Thiruparangunram Traffic Police Inspector Purana Krishnan explained the dangers of drugs, keeping a steady speed on the roads and how to follow the road rules. Road Safety Program Teacher Moses, Thiruparangunram Traffic Police Assistant Inspector Livingston and teachers participated.
All the students in the school took the drug prevention awareness pledge. At Madurai District, Yadava Women’s College, they took an awareness pledge on “Drug Free Tamil Nadu” on drug eradication. Headed by Commercial Tax and Registration Minister Murthy, Madurai District Collector Sangeetha, Cholavanthan Assembly Member Venkatesan, Additional Collector District Agency Program Officer Saravanan took part along with National Welfare Project students, National Student Corps and college girls.
