CHENNAI: A Police complaint was filed at D 3 Ice House Police by a photojournalist working with The Hindu Newspaper saying the unit members of Enthiran 2.0, attacked them in Triplicane on Wednesday morning. The incident took place when S.R.Raghunathan and G.Sribharath of The Hindu were getting ready to leave in the morning from Eswara Dass Street in Triplicane to R.K.Nagar for an assignment. Even as they were leaving from the residence Mr. Raghunathan asked the film unit as to why they were shooting on the street. When the two photo journalists questioned the unauthorized blocking of roads for the shooting on the street, the bouncers assaulted the two photo journalists irked over the questioning. Police permits film shooting on public place between 11.p.m and 6.a.m in the city. After a Police complaint was lodged by Mr. S R Raghunathan the Police detained a few persons in connection with the incident. Following the incident journalists assembled before the Police station and demanded action against the film crew. Director Shankar apologized to the journalists at the Chennai Press Club. “The incident took place without my knowledge and we will ensure that these type of incidents will not happen in future”, Shankar said. ]]>
