Vijayawada: Within certain WhatsApp groups, it has come to our attention that there is an ongoing campaign advocating for a bike rally to commence from NTR Circle on September 17, 2023, at 3:00 pm.
It is important to note that no authorization has been granted by the police in this matter.
Acting under the directives of the Vijayawada Commissioner of Police and Additional District Magistrate, Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code is in effect within the jurisdiction of the Vijayawada Police Commissionerate, along with Section 30 of the Police Act.
Those who take the lead or partake in rallies, demonstrations, roadblocks, or protest events without prior consent will face legal repercussions.
Dissemination of messages pertaining to unlawful activities in WhatsApp groups will result in the identification and subsequent legal action against the perpetrators.
Individuals found driving under the influence of alcohol or violating the regulation of carrying three persons on a two-wheeler will be apprehended and presented before the court for appropriate measures.
It is imperative to recognize that engaging in protest activities without the explicit permission of the police can have severe consequences, potentially impacting job prospects and opportunities for those pursuing employment or seeking opportunities abroad. Therefore, we earnestly urge everyone to refrain from disrupting law and order by participating in such activities without the necessary authorization.
