JAMMU: A fake appointment racket was busted by Jammu and Kashmir Police and two out of three members of the gang were arrested in Jammu. A Police officer said, a written complaint was filed by Damil Sharma of Digiana belt of the city with Police stating that Mohd Qasim Badana, Sajad Ahmed and Jahangir Khan belonging to Kashmir met him here and assured him a job in MES as a clerk after a payment of Rs 1.5 lakh. Rs 50,000 was taken from the trio allegedly as an advance amount from Sharma and rest Rs 1,00,000 was decided to be paid after issuing the appointment order following which a fake appointment order was issued to Sharma, Police said. In this connection a case has been registered at Gandhinagar police station. Police conducted raids at different locations and arrested two accused namely Sajad Ahmed and Jahangir Khan and one is still evading arrest, the officer said. Fake appointment order and joining letter were seized by Police and added that these fraudsters have allegedly cheated many youths by luring them for jobs by issuing fake appointment orders of different departments in Jammu and Kashmir, Police said. ‘’Investigation is on and more recovery and arrests are expected”, the officer said.]]>
