Vijayawada: On the occasion of Shree Durgamalleswara Swamy Dasara Sharannavaratri mahotsavam which started in the city from 15.10.2023 today, the Governor of Andhra Pradesh Shri Abdul Nazir came to the temple to visit the Goddess. In this context, security arrangements have been made in the surrounding areas of the temple to prevent any untoward incident. District Police Commissioner Mr. Kanti Rana Tata I.P.S. Garu came personally to supervise along with other officials.
In this context, the City Police Commissioner inspected the queue lines of Sri Kanakadurga Ammavari Temple and inquired whether the devotees were facing any problems. Adequate instructions and advice were given to the officers and staff performing duties in the premises. It has been ordered to coordinate with the authorities of all departments to organize a strong Bandobast in this ceremony so that all the devotees can have darshan of Ammavari without any inconvenience to the devotees and without any untoward incidents.
Similarly, participation in the city procession of Sri Kanakadurga Goddess Utsava Murtula took place. Later, a staff called Police Sevadal was specially allocated for the elderly and disabled to visit god without any difficulty.
In this program, City Police Commissioner Mr. Kanti Rana Tata IPS, along with D.C.P. Mr. Vishal Gunni IPS, AIG M. Ravindra Babu IPS, DCP Ms. Ajitha Vejendla IPS, ACPs, Inspectors, SIs and Police Officers and Staff participated.
