On October 21, 2023, the Chandigarh Traffic Police organized a Road Safety Awareness initiative at GMGSS School, Sector 20, Chandigarh. A total of 360 students ranging from 6th to 12th grade, along with 20 teachers, were enlightened about the significance of wearing appropriate safety headgear, such as helmets, and the importance of attaching reflective tape to promote a Lifestyle for Environment.
Additionally, the participants were educated about various traffic rules and regulations. The program placed special emphasis on the imperative of adhering to red light signals, turning off vehicle engines, and adopting eco-friendly practices like cycling, walking, and carpooling. These efforts aimed to conserve fuel, mitigate vehicular pollution, alleviate traffic congestion, and promote a healthier lifestyle in harmony with the environment.
