North and Middle Andaman: On October 19th, 2023, a significant event unfolded in Sastrinallah, Baratang, involving a heavily loaded Tipper and an STS Bus becoming trapped in deep potholes. Unfortunately, this incident resulted in a complete traffic standstill along NH-4, spanning from 14:30 to 23:00 hours. Thanks to the determined efforts of the Baratang Police, both vehicles were successfully dislodged from the potholes.
Consequently, the final convoy from JPP Middle Strait to JPP Jirkatang experienced a delay of 9 hours, recommencing at 12:15 hours. Going above and beyond, the Baratang Police organized a late-night meal for all 133 passengers, including children and elderly individuals who were part of the convoy at JPP Middle Strait.
