VELLORE: One of the life convicts in Rajiv Gandhi assassination case Murugan (alias) Sriharan against whom charges of possessing cell phones, SIM cards and charger were filed on Sunday has now decided to fight the case in court, his advocate P Pugalenthi said. Advocate Pugalenthi who had met Murugan in the Vellore Central Prison, for Men on Tuesday said, “Murugan decided to approach the court to face the case filed against by the prison department”. Vellore Central Prison had filed a case against Murugan on Sunday stating that he had possessed two cell phones, including an Apple iPhone, three SIM cards and a charger during the raid conducted in his cell at about 7 pm on Saturday. But Pugalenthi has denied the allegations and said, “The cell phones, SIM Cards and charger were seized in some other part of the prison”.]]>
