Hyderabad: A case involving wrongful restraint, public nuisance, and a breach of the Model Code of Conduct has been reported. The accused sought permission from the Returning Officer of the 58-Malakpet constituency for a bike rally with 300 participants but exceeded the limit. They disrupted traffic for 30 minutes, ignited prohibited fireworks during the INC Bike Rally Procession, violating both the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) and the Returning Officer’s instructions. The incident, reported by G. Shankar, Dy. E.E (Circle 13 Karwan), took place on 08-11-2023 at 17:00 near Zaika Hotel, falling under the jurisdiction of Dabeerpura Police Station, Hyderabad. A case has been registered.
In the ongoing investigation, the respondents, particularly Mohd Adnan Qamar, have been identified, with the issuance of a 41(A) notice. Other individuals involved are yet to be apprehended. Notices under 41(A) Cr.PC have been issued today, instructing the accused to appear before the undersigned or the Hon’ble Court as needed.
The investigation is under the supervision of Mr. B. Rohith Raju, Deputy Commissioner of Police, South East Zone, Hyderabad, with guidance from Mr. G. Shyam Sunder, Asst. Commissioner of Police, Malakpet Division, Hyderabad.
