Tiruvallur: Under the directive of Avadi Police Commissioner Mr. Shankar, a joint effort led by Deputy Commissioner of Police Balakrishnan, Law and Order Inspector Kali Raj of Meenjoor Police Station, Crime Branch Inspector Sudhakar, and High-Speed Squad Police (Xerox) resulted in the arrest of over fifty individuals in the western part of Atipattuppu Pudunagar Pallam, within the jurisdiction of the first-level panchayat in Tiruvallur. These individuals, residing in the area and employed in nearby government and private companies, are currently under scrutiny regarding their origins, residences, and employment history. Details of their background are being handled with utmost confidentiality, and precautionary measures are being taken.
Simultaneously, targeted police operations have been conducted in the residences of known criminals involved in activities such as drug dealing, robbery, and conspiracy to commit murder and theft. A dedicated team of more than 20 police officers is actively engaged in daily rotations, conducting vigilant surveillance in the Pudunagar area. They have been duly cautioned that the accused individuals will soon be apprehended, cases will be registered against them and stringent legal action will be taken against them.
