Indore: In Indore, a program called “Srijan-Nayi Disha Naya Gagan” was inaugurated by Police Commissioner Mr. Makrand Deuskar at Rakshit Kendra on December 11th. The initiative, part of community policing directed by the Police Headquarters, aims to prevent crimes against women, ensure their safety, and empower them. The program focuses on protecting and empowering girls, enhancing their self-confidence, and promoting community engagement. The event, attended by various officials and about 250 girls aged 12 to 18 from underprivileged areas, included the unveiling of the program’s poster and lighting of the lamp by Mr. Makrand Deuskar.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Mr. Jagdish Dawar explained the program’s structure, emphasizing partnerships with women’s safety officers, NGOs, and local organizations to establish dialogue with girls from weaker sections. Srijan training camps will provide physical fitness, martial arts, self-defense, legal knowledge, health education, moral education, citizenship education, and career guidance. Police Commissioner Mr. Deuskar highlighted the program’s goal of instilling security and self-confidence in girls, empowering them to set and achieve goals while raising awareness about crimes and oppression. The Commissioner thanked social organizations for their contributions and urged collective efforts for the program’s success. The girls attending the program showcased their confidence by presenting poems on the theme “tomorrow belongs to daughters.” Deputy Commissioner of Police Ms. Priyanka Dudve oversaw the program’s operation, and Reserve Inspector Mr. Deepak Kumar Patil expressed gratitude for its success.
