Thiruvannamalai: On December 13, 2023, First Class Constable No-1649 Mr. A. Rakothaman from Thachampatu Police Station in Tiruvannamalai District emerged as the winner of the Tamil Nadu state-level anti-narcotics awareness song contest. The Director General of Police/Chief of Police, Mr. Shankar Jiwal, IPS, honored him with a certificate of appreciation and a prize of Rs. 25,000. Additionally, on December 15, 2023, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Vellore, Dr. M.S. Muthusamy, IPS, and Tiruvannamalai District Superintendent of Police Maru. K. Karthikeyan, IPS, personally congratulated and greeted him.
