HYDERABAD: A 5-year-old boy who was found begging at a traffic signal was handed over to his grandfather by Telengana Police who rescued him. The incident took place in Gopalapuram Police limits. A passerby noticed a boy along with another person begging at a signal in Gopalapuram, according to Police. The passerby immediately dialled 100 and informed the matter to the control room. On receiving information control room staff alerted the Gopalapuram Police in connection. Gopalapuram Police said, “The boy has been rescued. He was begging at signals we handed him over to his grandfather Narsaiah. As boy’s father is dead, he and his mother live with his mother’s parents. When the mother left for work, the boy begged at a parking place near his residence”, Police said.]]>
