Trichy: In Trichy District, five individuals were apprehended by Somarasampet police during a search operation prompted by confidential information received on the private phone number of Dr. V. Varunkumar, the District Superintendent of Police. Acting on his directive, the police discovered that these individuals were selling marijuana while brandishing dangerous weapons to intimidate the public. Moreover, they were found posting live videos on social media showcasing both ganja and the threatening weapons.
