Manipur: Marking the momentous occasion of the 75th Republic Day of India in 2024, distinguished recognition was bestowed upon exemplary officers of the Manipur Police Department with the prestigious President’s Medal for Distinguished Service (PSM) and the esteemed Medal for Meritorious Service (MSM). Among the decorated recipients, Mr. Elangbam Bhubaneshwor Singh, an Inspector in the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) under the Crime Branch (CB), stood out as a recipient of the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service, underscoring his outstanding contributions.
Furthermore, the Medal for Meritorious Service was bestowed upon individuals who showcased exceptional commitment and dedication to their roles. Mr. Kabib K, holding the rank of Inspector General of Police with a specialization in Intelligence and serving in the Narcotics and Affairs of the Border (NAB) division, earned this accolade in recognition of his meritorious service.
The commendation continued as Mr. Oinam Premananda Singh, an Inspector in the CID’s Special Branch (SB), and Mr. Laishram Ramkumar Singh, an Assistant Sub-Inspector stationed in Ukhrul, were also honored with the Medal for Meritorious Service. These awards underscored their commitment, diligence, and meritorious contributions to the Manipur Police Department, reflecting their dedication to upholding law and order in the region.
