Visakhapatnam City: Last night, a meticulously coordinated effort led by City Police Commissioner Dr. A. Ravi Shankar, IPS, and overseen by Joint CP Mr. K. Fakirappa, IPS, unfolded in Visakhapatnam City. Across the city’s police stations, 110 teams, each comprising 1200 personnel, were strategically deployed. Their mission: to establish blockades at multiple key points throughout the city.
In a resounding success, these teams executed their duties with precision, resulting in the seizure of a substantial cache of illicit goods and assets. Among the confiscated items were 10 kg of ganja, 13.5 kg of gold, 13.5 kg of silver, 8.79 lakh in cash, 6 bottles of liquor, and a staggering 800 kg of PDS rice. Additionally, law enforcement efforts led to the impounding of 663 vehicles suspected of involvement in criminal activities.
The collective value of the seized goods is estimated to be around 7 crores, representing a significant blow to criminal networks operating within the city. In recognition of the dedication and hard work exhibited by the participating personnel, Joint CP Mr. K. Fakirappa, IPS, extended his heartfelt congratulations. This successful operation stands as a testament to the commitment of the Visakhapatnam City Police Department to uphold law and order and ensure the safety and security of its residents.
