Tengnoupal: In a decisive operation carried out on March 8, 2024, security forces intercepted and apprehended Sholen Haokip, aged 40, at the bustling Moreh Bypass Junction situated in the Tengnoupal District. The meticulous search conducted upon his person yielded a trove of concerning items, shedding light on potential threats to public safety and security.
Among the items confiscated were two improvised explosive devices (IEDs), meticulously crafted instruments of destruction capable of inflicting widespread harm and chaos. The discovery of these devices raised immediate alarm bells, underscoring the gravity of the situation. Additionally, a 12-volt battery, essential for powering such explosive devices, was seized, further reinforcing suspicions of malicious intent.
