Cachar: In the Cachar district of Assam, the Assam police apprehended a drug peddler named Hilal Uddin Borbhuiya, aged 30, and confiscated around 10,000 suspected Yaba tablets valued at approximately Rs 2 crore from his possession. SP Numal Mahanta of Cachar district stated that the operation, targeting NDPS substances in the Uttar Lalpani area under Jirighat police station’s jurisdiction, was conducted based on confidential information received by the SDPO of Lakhipur. The seized narcotics were promptly sealed at the scene in the presence of independent witnesses.
