Bengaluru: More than 25,000 people are expected to gather in the Mysuru Road and Chamarajpet areas of Bengaluru for Eid celebrations today. In anticipation of the festival, the Bengaluru traffic police issued an advisory on Wednesday, noting that significant crowds are expected at B B junction of Mysore Road and 7th cross of 1st Main road, Chamrajpete BBMP Play Ground. The department, aiming to ensure smooth public movement, announced traffic diversions in the area.
Vehicular movement will be restricted on Mysuru Road from city market flyover (BGS Flyover) to toll gate junction from 7 am to 12 pm on April 11. The department outlined alternate routes:
For vehicles heading towards Mysore Road from Town Hall, drivers should go below the flyover, take a right turn near Sirsi circle, continue via Binnymill Junction, turn left at Hunasemara Junction, left at MC circle, and right at Hosahalli signal, eventually reaching Mysore Road near Kimko Junction via west of Chord Road.
For vehicles approaching the market from Kengeri side, drivers should take a left turn near Kimko junction, go via west of Chord Road, continue to MC circle, and turn right towards Magadi road. Then, take a right turn near Hunasemara junction, pass through Binnymil junction, and turn left near Sirsi circle. The advisory concluded by urging the public to cooperate.
