Thiruvananthapuram City: In Thiruvananthapuram City, the Cybercrime Police have registered a case against groups advertising the sale of Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) question papers on Telegram. The FMGE, conducted by the National Board of Examinations, is for those seeking to practice medicine in India after completing their MBBS studies abroad. The July 6th exam’s question paper and answers were being sold on Telegram groups. The case, the first in the state under the Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024, has prompted the Cyber Division of the Police to initiate 24-hour cyber patrolling on social media, including various Telegram channels, to detect such scams.
