Lunglei: On July 11, 2024, a comprehensive and impactful one-day workshop on Child Rights took place at the SP Lunglei Conference Hall. This significant event was organized through a collaborative effort between the Superintendent of Police (SP) Lunglei and the District Child Protection Officer (DCPO) Lunglei, reflecting their shared commitment to enhancing child welfare in the region.
The workshop featured a panel of distinguished resource persons who provided extensive expertise and insights on various aspects of child rights and protection. Pu Malsawmdawngliana, the Public Prosecutor (PP) of Lunglei, delivered detailed presentations on the legal frameworks and judicial processes related to child rights. His sessions focused on the importance of legal protection for children and the role of law enforcement in ensuring justice for child victims.
Pi Lalrinkimi Hmar, the DCPO of Lunglei, shared her extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in child protection. She emphasized the critical role of child protection officers and the importance of inter-agency collaboration in safeguarding children’s rights. Her presentations included case studies and best practices in child welfare, providing practical guidance to the participants.
Pi Zokhumi, a dedicated Protection Officer, offered valuable insights into the practical implementation of child rights policies.
