Kanyakumari: On behalf of Kanyakumari District Police under the leadership of Kanyakumari District Superintendent of Police Mr.E.Sundaravathanam IPS, a short film competition is going to be held on the topic “Cyberspace Safety for Women” to prevent crimes against women. In this case on13.08.2024 a preview program was held at Ponjesli College of Engineering for the benefit of those who are going to participate in the short film competition. Addressing the event, the District Superintendent of Police emphasized that the short film should be meaningful, humorous, and general in nature, and should not be based on politics, caste, or religion, and should be easy to understand by the people. He also said that the aim of the short film competition is to create awareness and courage among women and children on how to protect themselves from cybercrimes and how to fearlessly approach the police if are victimized. He also said that if women are threatened by posting private photos or morphing photos on social media, they can immediately file a complaint at the Cyber Police Station or the All Women Police Station. And the last date for submission of these short film reels is August 31. Prizes will be awarded for the best work.
