Azamgarh: In alignment with the directives of the Director General of Fire Service, Uttar Pradesh, a comprehensive campaign was launched on 25.08.2024 in Azamgarh district as part of a broader initiative that commenced on 21.08.2024. This campaign was conducted under the framework of scheme numbers 03, 04, and 11, each tailored to specific sectors.
The first focus area, covered under scheme number 03, targeted hospitals and nursing homes, where extensive efforts were made to educate healthcare professionals, staff, and visitors about fire safety protocols, evacuation procedures, and the importance of maintaining fire safety equipment.
Under scheme number 04, attention was directed towards malls and multiplexes. The campaign in these areas involved detailed inspections of fire safety measures, staff training sessions on emergency response, and public awareness activities aimed at educating shoppers and visitors on what to do in the event of a fire.
Lastly, scheme number 11 was dedicated to explosive and firecracker stores, as well as manufacturing facilities. Given the high-risk nature of these locations, the campaign here was particularly rigorous, involving thorough safety audits, reinforcement of best practices in handling and storage of hazardous materials, and specialized training sessions for workers to minimize the risk of fire incidents.
The overarching goal of this multi-faceted campaign was to enhance fire safety awareness across these critical sectors, ensuring that both staff and the general public are better prepared to respond effectively in case of emergencies.
