Kasaragod: In Kasaragod District, a significant arrest was made involving two individuals—Muhammad Suhail, aged 24, from Mogral Puthur, and Sirajuddin, aged 20, from Kattathatukka—who were apprehended by the Kumbala police. The two suspects were found in possession of 1.05 grams of MDMA, a potent synthetic drug. Authorities have revealed that these individuals were engaged in the illegal sale of MDMA and cannabis, specifically targeting school children in the area, raising grave concerns about the safety and well-being of the youth.
This operation was carried out based on critical and confidential intelligence received by District Police Chief Smt. Shilpa DIPS. Responding to the gravity of the situation, Kasaragod DySP Sunil Kumar CK spearheaded the operation. He was supported by a dedicated team comprising Kumbala Inspector Vinod Kumar KP, Sub-Inspector Vijayan VK, Senior Civil Police Officer Maraya Suresh, and Civil Police Officer Ajish. Through meticulous planning and coordination, the team successfully tracked down and apprehended the suspects.
The arrest underscores the commitment of the Kasaragod police to combating drug trafficking and protecting the community, especially vulnerable school children, from the dangers of drug abuse.
